TAS Bushland Hand and Body Balm is deeply moisturising and suited to most skin types, including dry and mature skin.
Our luscious balm is handcrafted in small batches, using the following premium ingredients:
Tasmanian Olive Oil: We have sourced premium, extra-virgin, cold-pressed olive oil from Tasmanian growers. This premium oil is exceptionally high in Oleic acid and is rich in Vitamin E. Possessing richly emollient properties, together with wound healing abilities, this oil is also cleansing, anti-inflammatory and fights free-radical damage. Excellent for dry, sensitive and mature skin. A perfect base ingredient for our Hand & Body Balms.
Tasmanian Leatherwood Beeswax: Sourced from Tasmanian beekeepers who keep their hives amongst the world-renowned Leatherwood forests of Tasmania. Faintly sweet and Leatherwood-honey-scented, this luxury beeswax boasts beneficial skin softening properties and helps skin retain moisture.
Coconut Oil (refined): Plant-derived, skin softening, moisturising and rich in lauric acid, this oil has powerful antimicrobial and antiviral properties that supports and strengthens skin health.
Shea Butter (refined): Rich in Vitamins E & A, Shea Butter is a natural moisturiser, and perfect for dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin.
Arrowroot: A fine, plant-derived starch used to absorb and balance excess oils in skincare formulatioins.
Morrisby’s Gum (Eucalyptus morrisbyi): A critically endangered, endemic gum that we grow in our conservation plantations for harvesting, the essential oil shares therapeutic and cosmetic properties with other eucalypts. With a sweet and refreshing aroma, this oil has powerful anti-microbial, circulation boosting and skin healing properties.
Heart-Leaf Silver Gum (Eucalyptus cordata): Endemic to Tasmania, this threatened species is grown in our conservation plantations for harvesting. Sharing therapeutic and cosmetic properties common to other eucalypts, this essential oil has a sweet and fresh scent and powerful anti-microbial, circulation boosting and skin healing properties.
Australian River Mint (Mentha australis): This small, herbaceous plant was once throught to be extinct in Tasmania, and is now listed as endangered in the wild. We propagate and grow large numbers of this precious species in our conservation plantations for harvest and use. Uplifting and energising, with a sweet and spicy, menthol aroma, River Mint essential oil shares similar properties to the well-known Peppermint oil. Decongestant, antiseptic, analgesic, antimicrobial and anti-inflamatory properties, as well as digestive, immune and respiratory support make this a useful addition to both therapeutic remedies and skincare formulations.
Roundleaf Mintbush (Prostanthera rotundifolia): This threatened species is an attractive, aromatic shrub restricted to northern Tasmania. Growing and harvesting from our conservation plantations, we extract the uplifting, herbaceous and spicy essential oil. Possessing naturally calming and antimicrobial properties, this oil soothes skin irritations and promotes skin healing, while also helping with easing stress and mental fatigue.
Sweet Kunzea (Kunzea ambigua): With a fresh and uplifting aroma, with spicy undertones, Sweet Kunzea oil helps ease stress and nervous tension. It is highly valued in skincare formulations for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and healing properties, helping with blemishes, acne, eczema, and psoriasis by cleansing and soothing the skin. Kunzea oil is moisturizing and healing to minor skin irritations, as well as helping to reduce redness and swelling.
Rosalina (Northern Form Melaleuca ericifolia): Containing powerful antibacterial properties, together with mildly sedative and calming actions, this oil is useful in soothing and healing the skin.

Our Hand & Body Balms are carefully formulated to remain firm in their tins across a range of warm and cool conditions, yet soften readily when in contact with skin for easy application and absorption.
To use, simply scrape out a small amount of balm, then transfer to fingertips or the palm of your hands. Rub your hands together, gently softening the balm, which can then be directly applied to skin on the hands and body as required.
Our TAS Bushland Rare Botanicals Hand & Body Balm contains a range of natural ingredients (see Description for full list), plus essential oils diluted following recommended safety guidelines, and should be safe and gentle to use directly on the skin. However, if skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
It is recommended to seek medical advice before using essential oils if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have serious health issues.
For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
