Our handcrafted, deeply restorative facial balm, with Maria Island botanicals of Blue Gum, Sweet Kunzea, Rosalina & Oyster Bay Pine, plus Tasmanian Pepperberry-infused Sunflower Oil. Enriched with infusions of Calendula and Comfrey Leaf in Sunflower Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Beeswax and Vitamin E. This restorative and healing Facial Balm is suitable for use on dry, sensitive and mature skin.

Tasmanian Pepperberry-Infused Sunflower Oil: Relatively new to skincare formulations, Tasmanian Pepperberry extracts possess an impressive range of therapeutic and cosmetic properties. Boasting a potent mix of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions and supporting collagen production, Tasmanian Pepperberry is highly soothing and restorative, calming irritation and skin sensitivity. Truly an exciting Tasmanian native botanical addition to facial and body skincare.
Calendula-Infused Sunflower Oil: Fresh, organically grown flowers are hand-harvested from our garden, carefully dried and slow-steeped in sunflower oil, imparting the oil with added skin-nourishing properties.
Deeply nourishing, soothing and healing, this gentle Calendula Oil infusion is rich in Vitamins C & E, and antioxidants, with anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Calming irritated skin, reducing redness and inflammation, this infused oil is ideal for sensitive, mature, eczema- and psoriasis-prone skin.
Comfrey Leaf-Infused Sunflower Oil: Our Wild Oils grown, organic Comfrey is hand-harvested for the leaves. Once fully dried, the leaves are slow-steeped in Sunflower Oil over minimal heat to extract its maximum therapeutic properties into the oil. The deep green-gold oil imparts valuable skin-nourishing properties to our Maria Island Botanical Face Balm.
Shea Butter: Rich in Vitamins A & E, Shea Butter is a natural moisturiser, perfect for dry, mature, sensitive and eczema-prone skin types.
Jojoba Oil: A liquid plant wax, closely mirroring the performance of our natural skin sebum, making this an excellent addition to skincare formulations. Soothing, softening, deeply moisturising, and non-comedogenic, Jojoba Oil is a perfect choice for skincare, including for problem and very dry skin types.
Tasmanian Leatherwood Beeswax: Sourced from Tasmanian beekeepers who keep their hives amongst the world-renowned Leatherwood forests of Tasmania. Faintly sweet and Leatherwood-honey-scented, this luxury beeswax boasts beneficial skin softening properties and helps skin retain moisture.
Arrowroot: A fine, plant-derived starch used to balance excess oils in skin formulations.
Vitamin E: Antioxidant which is used to prevent oxidation and improve shelf life.

Tasmanian Blue Gum:Tasmanian Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus): The Floral Emblem of Tasmania, this well-known and deservedly popular essential oil, has many therapeutic and cosmetic properties. With a sweet and refreshing aroma, and boasting powerful anti-microbial, circulation boosting and skin healing properties, this is an excellent addition to our Maria Island facial balm.
Sweet Kunzea (Kunzea ambigua): With a fresh and uplifting aroma, with spicy undertones, Sweet Kunzea oil helps ease stress and nervous tension. It is highly valued in skincare formulations for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and healing properties, helping with blemishes, acne, eczema, and psoriasis by cleansing and soothing the skin. Kunzea oil is moisturizing and healing to minor skin irritations, as well as helping to reduce redness and swelling.
Rosalina (Melaleuca ericifolia): Containing powerful antibacterial properties, together with mildly sedative and calming actions, this oil is useful in soothing and healing the skin.
Oyster Bay Pine: Our Wild Oils-grown Oyster Bay Pines are harvested for their foliage, which is steam-distilled. The resinous, citrusy-piney aroma has uplifting and soothing properties.

Our Botanical Face Balms are carefully formulated to remain firm in their tins across a range of warm and cool conditions, yet soften readily when in contact with skin for easy application and absorption.
To use, simply scrape out a small amount of balm, then transfer to fingertips or the palm of your hands. Rub your hands together, gently softening the balm, which can then be directly applied to skin on the hands and body as required.
Our Maria Island Botanical Face Balm contains a range of natural ingredients (see Description for full list), plus essential oils diluted following recommended safety guidelines, and should be safe and gentle to use directly on the skin. However, if skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
