  • A native pine, growing to 20m, common to the the eastern and semi-arid regions of mainland Australia. The durable timber is widely used in construction and furniture making.

    Relatively recently, the highly resinous bark and wood has been found to yield an essential oil valued for its significant calming and grounding properties.

    We source premium White Cypress Oil, which is sustainably harvested from government-managed, wild stands across arid regions of Australia.

    Australian White Cypress Essential Oil:

    Botanical name: Callitris glaucophylla

    Common names: Australian White Cypress, Northern Cypress Pine

    Ingredients: 100% pure Callitris glaucophylla wood oil

    Plant part used: Bark and heartwood.

    Method of extraction: Long steam distillation (48hrs+).

    Place of origin: Flinders Ranges, South Australia.

    Key constituents: Guaiol, citronellic acid, bulnesol, pinene, callitrisins, selinenes, eudesmols.

    Aroma: Smooth, sweet and woody aroma.

  • Using Australian White Cypress Oil:

    Topically: Dilute in carrier oil at 2-4% (4-8 drops per 10ml) for general topical application.

    Facial: Dilute in carrier oil at 1-2% (2-4 drops per 10ml).

    Massage: 5-10 drops per 100ml carrier/massage oil.

    Aromatherapy: Add a few drops to an aromatherapy diffuser or vaporiser or into a warm bath.

    Safety Guidelines:

    When used at the recommended dilution rates (see above), essential oils are generally regarded as safe to use. Avoid direct contact with undiluted essential oils.
